COMMUNITY POTLUCK
We welcomed the community to the Grange to enjoy yummy hot dogs (from the Dog House!) and potluck foods, while reconnecting with friends and neighbors. Visitors were able to see our newly-renovated commercial kitchen (our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this important fundraiser!), as well as new vinyl flooring, a freshly-painted interior, and an updated audio system. We also thank John Hershey, for his wonderful photography display (and picture hanging system), now in our main hall.
The potluck was a big success, and we hope to make it a regular event!
CRAB CIOPPINO FEAST
Our 70th annual Crab Cioppino Feast was held on February 15, 2026, and it was again a huge success! All-you-can-eat Dungeness crab was served to a sell-out crowd over 3 seatings, and a fun and memorable time was had by all.
Our 2027 Crab Feast will be held on Sunday, February 21st… We expect that it will be another sell-out event, so keep an eye on our Cioppino webpage for more info, and mark your calendars now!
Hitchcock film festival
The 11th annual Hitchcock Film Festival, sponsored by the Bodega Bay Chamber of Commerce, was held on the weekend of October 17-18, 2025. On Friday night, there was a VIP showing of The Birds, which included appetizers and drinks, as well as a costume contest! The Saturday matinee was Hitchcock’s The Trouble with Harry, followed by another evening showing of The Birds, which features many shots filmed in Bodega Bay and the nearby town of Bodega. (See “Upcoming Events” for more on this year’s festival!)
JUAN BODEGA DAY
Juan Francisco Bodega Day, sponsored by the Rancho Bodega Historical Society, was celebrated on September 20, 2025, to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the explorer’s arrival on our shores! The event was free to the public, and featured delicious Peruvian food from Inca’s Restaurant, and Mexican food from El Coronel (both in Sebastopol), as well as fabulous live Latin jazz and salsa music!
variety show
A Variety Show and fundraiser was held with two showings on April 12, 2025! The show featured wonderful magic acts, circus acrobats, live music, and comedy, with food and drink available for purchase. We also had a silent auction featuring artwork, restaurant meals, services, and wines up for bid, with winners announced following the show!
MONTE RIO THEATER FUNDRAISER
The historic Monte Rio Theater (housed in a quonset hut on the banks of the Russian River, and once known as the Rio Theater) hosted a fundraiser for the Bodega Bay Grange on September 10, 2025! The featured movie for the evening was the 1996 comedy classic, The Birdcage, and the event included delicious pizza from Huria’s, Henhouse beer, and a fabulous costume contest!
OLDIES DANCE & SOCIAL
We hosted a super fun “Oldies” dance party on November 2, 2024!
It featured music from the 60s, 70s and 80s, and many attendees came in period dress!
