Waves of Compassion Foundation is a local nonprofit, founded to support our coastal community in times of need. If you live or work in Bodega Bay or the surrounding coastal area, YOU are part of our community.
We provide assistance to community members in a number of ways, including our twice-monthly food pantry, a diaper program, the cost of pre-K schooling and general school supplies, and safety gear for our commercial fishing community, as well as emergency grants for individuals, families and businesses in times of financial hardship. Further information about our programs is available at: WavesofCompassionFoundation.org
Drive-Through FOOD PANTRY
1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month
3:30-5:00 pm
at the Bodega Grange Hall
We are particularly proud of our food pantry, which we hold on the first and third Wednesday of each month, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. We started the food pantry back in January, 2018, and we now serve over 150 local families. We purchase most food from the Redwood Empire Food Bank, and distribute it at no cost. No name or identification is required, but we request that you live or work in our coastal community. If you are in need of food, please stop by our next pantry! (And if you are unable to drive, please contact us to arrange a delivery.)
We are so pleased to be able to use the facilities that the Grange offers! We require a lot of space to move large amounts of dry goods, produce, meat and dairy products, and the Grange is the perfect set-up for us, in a very central location for our community. We are so thankful to the Grange for being a wonderful partner in providing important community services.
If you have a question, are interested in volunteering for our food pantry, or would like to pass on a suggestion for a new program or a way that Waves of Compassion can provide assistance to those in our community, please contact us. Thank you for your interest!
Sincerely,
Waves of Compassion Foundation
